London based string players - are you looking forward to autumn and getting back to orchestral playing? The Ernest Read Symphony Orchestra is one of London's leading and longest established amateur orchestras playing to a v high standard with our fantastic conductor Christopher Stark. We are a very friendly group and share a lot of good cake! We rehearse on Sundays in Camden for a few weeks before each of our three concerts. Members are talented amateurs of all ages, music students, young professionals, music teachers. Music students do not pay membership fees. Next season has some great music, starting with a concert that includes Beethoven 1 and a beautiful saxophone piece performed by our winning Soloist of the Year Megan Glover Rehearsals start Sept 27th and the concert is at 6.30pm on Oct 25th at St John’s Waterloo.
