We are always keen to hear from any violin players (Grade 7 or above) interested in joining us. We are a friendly and welcoming orchestra, and we perform a wide and stimulating repertoire including joint concerts with the TPS choir.

Wokingham Philharmonic Orchestra is a newly formed amateur orchestra in Berkshire looking for regular orchestra members of all ages. You need to be approx. Grade 7+ level to cope with the music we play, with a bit of practice. Ages 16+ welcome. We are a dedicated friendly and supportive group, with an active WhatsApp and social media presence and social events. We aim for 2 local concerts per year. Whether you have an instrument gathering dust and you wish to get back into playing, or you are a seasoned player, and you wish to try us out, please do come along to a rehearsal, or a few! When: Wednesdays 7.30pm-9.15pm (term time only) Where: Windmill Primary School, Fernlea Drive, Woosehill, Wokingham, RG41 3DR Parking available. Rail/bus stops within walking distance. This is an amateur 'all abilities' orchestra. Anyone (and any instrument) is welcome.

There are rehearsals on 24/9, 29/9, 2/10, 6/10, and 9/10. Rehearsals from 19:00-22:00, Concert Smith Square, 3-6 Rehearsal, 7:30 concert. Main piece is John Adams' Harmonielehre. Conductor Chris Stark, Solist (Barber Violin Concerto) Charlie Lovell-Jones.

We are looking for Violinists at grade 6 standard or above to join our friendly group. We rehearse Sunday evenings 7.15-.8.45 during term time at Trust Hall, Stoke Gifford, North Bristol, BS34 8PE We are a small Ensemble and do not have a conductor but play ‘in the round’ which works well.

IOM Symphony Orchestra is an amateur orchestra, but players need to be of at least grade 6 standard (higher for 1st violin) and have some orchestral experience. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings in term time at St.Johns Primary School.

We rehearse on a Wednesday evening and are based at Hampstead Garden Suburb's Free Church, the London International Concert Orchestra is composed of retired and working professionals, recent graduates and amateur players; from all backgrounds and of all ages and nationalities united by our love of music, We have an exciting programme of music ahead of us and would very much like to add a couple more string players to the orchestra. Our next concert is on Sunday 11th October. Programme Mozart Don Giovanni Overture, Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto, Dvorak Symphonic Variations and Sibelius 7th Symphony. London based string players - are you looking forward to autumn and getting back to orchestral playing? The Ernest Read Symphony Orchestra is one of London's leading and longest established amateur orchestras playing to a v high standard with our fantastic conductor Christopher Stark. We are a very friendly group and share a lot of good cake! We rehearse on Sundays in Camden for a few weeks before each of our three concerts. Members are talented amateurs of all ages, music students, young professionals, music teachers. Music students do not pay membership fees. Next season has some great music, starting with a concert that includes Beethoven 1 and a beautiful saxophone piece performed by our winning Soloist of the Year Megan Glover Rehearsals start Sept 27th and the concert is at 6.30pm on Oct 25th at St John’s Waterloo. We are a community orchestra and include adult players of all levels and all ages. No auditions, we meet weekly on Tuesday evenings during term time.

We always have vacancies for 1st and 2nd violinists. We don't hold auditions.
